Problems

  • The Team at Ekvity came to us for help in redesigning and revamping of their website.
  • The website had a poor user interface which did not depict their goal and vision.
  • The website was also managed by a third party vendor which made it impossible for administrators to quickly make updates to the site.
  • In addition, the Team also wanted to subtly Indianize the look and feel of the overall website.
  • The Team also wanted a mobile view.

Our Solution

User Interface (UI) Redesign:
We conducted a thorough analysis of the current user interface to identify pain points and areas for improvement. Then, we implemented a clean and modern design that aligned with Ekvity's goals and vision.

Administrative Control:

  • Developed a custom Content Management System (CMS) that allows administrators to make quick updates to the website without relying on a third-party vendor¬
  • Provided a user-friendly admin interface with clear controls for content editing, addition, and removal.

Mobile Responsiveness:

  • Implemented a responsive design to ensure a seamless and consistent experience across various devices, especially on mobile
  • Prioritized mobile-friendly features such as touch-friendly navigation, optimized images, and responsive layouts.

Indianization of Design:
Integrated subtle Indian design elements and patterns into the overall website theme.

User Testing:
Conducted usability testing with the target audience to gather feedback on the redesigned UI/UX.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimized website performance to ensure fast loading times, especially on mobile devices¬
  • Compressed images, utilize browser caching, and minimize unnecessary scripts to enhance overall speed.

Low Fidelity Prototypes

Designing a new experience, and putting it to the test

With the help of the Development Team, we were able to discuss, test, and iterate the design until we felt confident in our product decisions.

We then sent a multitude of prototypes to our stakeholders to test the designs.

The stakeholders reported an easy and seamless experience.

They even felt the new layout and features inclusive.

High Fidelity Prototypes

Bringing Ekvity to life:

Moving on to designing the high-fidelity screens in Figma, our goal was to focus on upleveling Ekvity's visual identity along with making sure our new updates were intuitive and easy to use

Making it Mobile Responsive:

For mobile view, we utilized a flexible grid layout to organize content, allowing it to adjust proportionally based on the devices screen width. We also, designed touch-friendly navigation elements, such as larger buttons and easy-to-tap links, to enhance the user experience on touchscreens.

Performance Optimization:

We implemented performance optimization techniques, including code minification and efficient resource loading, to enhance the overall speed and responsiveness of the mobile as well as desktop version.

Keeping in mind all scenarios:

Designing error screens and messages requires careful considerations of the user s perspective. It s essential to provide clear, concise, and actionable instructions that guide users towards a solution.
